The relentless bombardment and daily massacres continue unabated. Amidst this devastation, we are grappling with an acute shortage of food, particularly flour, which has become scarce and prohibitively expensive. In our home, supplies have dwindled to nearly nothing, and we face uncertainty about our next meal.
The price of a single bag of flour has soared to $250, a cost far beyond our means, if it's available at all. We live in constant fear—not only of the ongoing attacks but also of the hunger that looms ever closer. Each day is a struggle to find sustenance, and the situation worsens with each passing moment.
If you can help, any contribution, no matter how small, could mean the difference between hunger and nourishment, between despair and hope. We are not asking for much—just a chance to survive.
Vetted!!!
(#167 on the verified fundraiser list by el-shab-hussein and nabulsi) (but we had to make a new gfm campaign cuz our old organizer stopped contacting us).

SVSSS BRAINWAVE JUST HIT! I HAD A THOUGHT ™
An average modern person transmitigates into SVSSS. Mind you, I specifically mean SVSSS and not PIDW. That’s right, our protagonist awakens to find themselves as a NPC in the world of Scum Villain Self Saving System. And they think to themselves upon waking up, “Oh, I’m an NPC in a xianxia novel with a happy ending! Cool!!” and goes about their life being a background nerd geeking out about plants, and monsters, and cultivation in general, and neat flying swords.
But this is a world of sex pollen and wife plots and unfortunately the cure for a lot of diseases is duel cultivation with a heavenly demon, and we all know who that demon is going to end up marrying, so it’s best to mess around with meta cultivation knowledge and prep for the worst case scenario, and honestly, they may as well solve some of the minor issues in the plot while their at it, so they invent some new cultivation techniques from some of those nifty svsss fanfictions they read while alive (I’m specifically thinking of this fic’s explanation of duel cultivation and cauldrons, but other weird cultivation methods could be used from other fanfics and xianxia books), so they can tidy up some things.
For instance, is it really necessary for Zhuzhi-lang to be stuck as a weird snake creature for nearly twenty years? Is it really needed for Yue Qingyuan to have crippled cultivation due to his sword?? Does Tianlang Jun have to be stuck under a mountain and then escape only to slowly die in a decomposing body??
They know they can’t change everything without the system interfering, but small nudges should help right? After all, they’re just a background NPC and Shen Yuan will show up eventually and everyone will fall in love with him and no one will even notice the NPC’s existence even if they had noticed something was up during their miraculous healing and salvation spree.
So they go about fixing those things. They catch Zhuzhi-lang unawares and feed him a sun and dew mushroom seed while he’s confused and do some funky cultivation shenanigans and pat him on the head cause he’s really such a cute weird snake creature and give him some vague warning about not trusting in laws and then fucks off to somewhere else.
I’m still caught up on Metagaming’s concept of duel cultivation transactions where you give and take—like taking something from someone’s cultivation, not just power, and returning something else—and keep getting stuck in a brainrot loop of the NPC taking some bloodmite powers from Zhuzhi-lang when they gave him a fully humanoid form that’s not reliant on Tianlang Jun. So my main idea for how the NPC plots to hold Yue Qingyuan in place is feeding him lesser bloodmites (not full ones because they only took a minor ability and can only hold someone for a few minutes before the bloodmites die), while they hold Yue Qingyuan still long enough to draw some ritual to heal his soul and separate it from Xuan Su. But honestly, I’m sure other ideas could apply here too. My Metagaming brainrot is just too strong right now to think of any.
And Tianlang Jun? Simple. Zhuzhi-lang’s got a humanoid form and can easily get the sun and dew mountain flowers for himself. They can’t stop the man from being imprisoned entirely. The system says no since Luo Binghe needs a dramatic entrance. So while they can’t stop the tragedy, they can put some pieces into play for an early escape, maybe a new plan to get him a better body once’s he’s back, and be a ferry for Su Xiyan’s body to revive her at some point as well.
It’s nice being an unnoticeable NPC, isn’t it? You can do whatever you want and no one’s going to know!!
Except. Someone does notice (as we all could have seen coming). And Shen Qingqiu is suspicious as fuck of this obnoxious Shidi because he notices everyone due to paranoid, and he’s even MORE suspicious of the mysterious character that healed Yue Qingyuan’s soul (and wasn’t that a doozy of a realization to have when Yue Qingyuan burst into his bamboo house one day freaking out because some disguised, powerful cultivator somehow did the impossible after ambushing him and holding him down as they healed his soul, and Shen Qingqiu is still reeling from learning that Yue Qingyuan’s SOUL was damaged trying to save Xiao Jiu and the stubborn asshole never told him because he apparently assumed Xiao Jiu knew there wasn’t a single universe where Qi ge didn’t try to come for him). And so yea, Shen Qingqiu is suspicious as all hell and starts snooping and plotting to catch the mysterious cultivator by combing through Cang Qiong because whoever it is has to have an in at the sect somewhere to know about Yue Qingyuan’s soul.
And that’s not even mentioning how suspicious Zhuzhi-lang and Tianlang Jun are now. They might not have realized what that strange cultivator did when they did it, or understood the cryptic in law mention, but they certainly have some suspicions now that Tianlang Jun was as imprisoned by in law like people, and Zhuzhi-lang kept his humanoid form just fine without Tianlang Jun, and now the hunt is ON for the mysterious benefactor, so they can repay the kindness and find out what the fuck is going on.
The NPC is, of course, oblivious to all of this going on and goes about their merry way thinking they’re being the Best ™ at being lowkey. They are SO good at being inconspicuous!! They deserve an award really!!
And then. Shen Qingqiu doesn’t qi deviate.
Shen Yuan doesn’t show up.
Oh shit, the NPC thinks to themselves as they begin to panic. They even check Shen Qingqiu out themselves to see if it’s Shen Yuan just being really good at acting. Maybe he was a better actor in the book than he gave himself credit for or something?? But no. That’s Shen Qingqiu all right. Shen Yuan is missing in action, and someone has to fix the plot of Cang Qiong is doomed.
Thus begins the NPC’s journey to try and unobtrusively fix PIDW’s child abuse problems (that they’re unaware are already fixed), save Liu Qingge from his qi deviation in Ling Xi Caves, make sure Luo Binghe doesn’t raze the sect to the ground someday and hopefully find him some sort of husband replacement to keep him under control when he does return, possibly dispose of the Huan Hua Palace Master at some point because he’s vile trash, and did I mention there are multiple man hunts for this poor oblivious dude currently on going??
And the most important question for them to solve? Where the fuck did Shen Yuan go??
Hmm I wonder where that man could have gone.

the hill that i will die on is that cas would have never said he loved dean if he had to deal with the consequences of it afterwards, meanwhile dean (who was SUPPOSED to tell cas he loved him in the original crypt scene script) would have eventually worked up to saying it without external pressure

Thinking about the parallels between Majima's relationship with Makoto in Y0 and with Kiryu in Pirate Yakuza, from a narrative standpoint to a mere visual one :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Majima not being able to stay put and "do nothing" while his loved ones, Kiryu and Makoto in this case, are suffering, to the point of becoming borderline suicidal (as he thinks, because of his poor self esteem, no one will miss him anyways, but Kiryu and Makoto ? They're far better people than him, of course they deserve to live more than he does), making the decision of endangering his own life for even the smallest chance of being helpful, to be able to do something meaningful for them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Majima's decision to stay away from Makoto to guarantee she will have a normal life, and the subsequent birth of the mad dog as a way to not only regain control from his past traumas, but to also put a shield, a barrier, in front of his emotions. Not wanting to face them, just doing whatever he thinks would be right for Makoto in that case. Mostly due to self loathing (he isn't 'worthy' of someone like her, and will never give her the life she deserves), and because he feels like he could never truly let go of the Yakuza lifestyle.
How could he with a constant reminder of his poor life choices directly engraved on his face ?
Tumblr media
All of this is mirrored in the last scene of pirate Yakuza 'the beginning and the end are one and the same', but Majima decides to break the circle : he lost his mad dog persona along with the representation of it, his snakeskin jacket, when he almost drowned back in Hawaii. He 'shed' the old skin, the mask, away and in the final scene decided to, possibly never, put it on again. Even if in a subtle way, he grows from the man who couldn't think of anything but to hide his emotions by walking away from Makoto, to someone who matured and is finally able to confront them.
Tumblr media
He decided to give up on the love he had for Makoto for her own sake, but couldn't bring himself to do the same for Kiryu.
Tumblr media
His love language is sacrificing himself for others/put their well-being and happiness first. Even if it's one sided, even if it's painful, he does not stop genuinely wanting the other person's happiness.

i can't believe how many people view mark and helly as an instance of the "forced heterosexual romance between two leads utterly devoid of chemistry" trend. like i respect your opinion and I've been there with many shows before. but i genuinely could not agree less

Rise! Donnie and 2012! Donnie don’t get along because of both are insecure about being overshadowed by the other’s skills/intelligence/resources: Broken, Tired, and Repetitive
Rise! Donnie and 2012! Donnie don’t get along because 2012! Donnie has impeccable aim which makes him a great basketball player and he is NOT humble about it at all: New, Innovative, and Super Petty.

ok hear me out????
things that i think stone had to do to nurse robotnik back to health after the end of sonic 2:
-physically dig him out of the rubble and carry him in his arms to safety
-cut his clothes off of him to access his injuries without bending or pulling on anything
-clean, stitch, and bandage wounds
-set broken/dislocated bones
-procure (steal) hospital-grade painkillers and medical equipment
-surgically remove shrapnel embedded in him
-hook him up to an intravenous line to administer (stolen) fluids and nutrients
-build or procure some kind of machine to monitor his vitals and alert him immediately of any changes
-carefully bathe and dress him
-monitor him 24/7 for days, barely sleeping, meticulously cataloging every detail of his injuries to keep track of any slight change in his condition
-kiss him on the forehead (this is what actually made him better he didnt need to do all that other shit)

Okay did anyone else notice that there's a little instrumental arrangement of The Winner Takes It All playing in the background of that scene from Better Call Saul 04x06. I have been thinking about this constantly for like 3 years and I've never seen anybody talk about it I need to get this out of my system...
That + the exit sign being there throughout pretty much the entire scene just hanging there above Jimmy. Chuck is practically omnipresent in that scene without even being there. Absolute cinema (also Jimmy's seemingly more emotional reaction to Mrs. Strauss' death is probably supposed to mirror all the repressed and unspoken grief he feels for Chuck that's just lingering deep down. So much to say about this scene. The horrors)

A continuation of my previous post, but from Yue Qi’s perspective. Thank you @myceleium for inspiring me to make the severed qijiu soul bond ✨worse✨
Please be warned before reading further that this is angst with no comfort and suicide is a theme, though not acted upon. Also, assumed major character death, but it’s qijiu so that was kind of a given here.
Part 1, Part 2 (here), Part 3 (pending)
Yue Qi stares down vacantly with glassy eyes at the silvery lines cleaving their claim into his soul with merciless claws. They were spiraled and woven across his skin, painted like poisoned veins strangled around the broken, blackened carcass of what had once been his heart’s life—his reason to live.
Yue Qi wonders if this is what it feels like to die. Distantly, he thinks that dying would be easier, less painful than this cruel curse that’s been stabbed harshly through his soul, and shackled to his existence.
He wants to cry. He wants to scream. But all he can manage is a shaking, wheezing whine through the torn, raw remains of his throat. He’s screamed so much already, there isn’t much left to do the screaming. Something wet trickles down his face. It could be tears, or it could be blood—there’s no telling—and Yue Qi can’t bring himself to care either way. It doesn’t matter. Nothing matters now.
It’s gone.
He’s gone.
And all that’s left is… ash.
Yue Qi stares at the soot smoldering at his feet. It’s grey and black, flickering and glowing faintly red where fire still burns. The same colors of the manacle strangling his wrist, the noose shackled around his soul, suffocating him in its burning finality.
Not even death can save him now.
His shizun should have let him die. It would have been kinder—much kinder than this. At least in death, his soul would have remained whole. In death, he could have found his way back. Maybe not to here, maybe not to this life, but someday. Maybe he could have found him again. But now?
Yue Qi sinks to the ground slowly and scoops up a handful of the ash. It’s still hot. The coals burn at the tender skin of Yue Qi’s hands, proof that Yue Qi had been just barely too late. But barely was still too late. Too late was still too late. And nothing would ever change that. Nothing could change any of this now.
He cradles what’s left of Shen Jiu’s heat carefully in his palms and gazes down at it numbly. His vision is hot and blurry as he lets out a shaky breath and stares at the shifting remains.
Shen Jiu is gone.
Yue Qi’s breath catches and he crumples in on himself. A sobbing rasp breaks out of him as he shudders, curling around the burning embers against his chest, shoulders shaking as an ugly, clawing emotion twists within him, screeching to get out, to escape, to leave.
He’s gone. He’s gone. He’s gone.
There’s no leaving now. No changing. No second chances. No beginnings. Just this. Just this end.
Yue Qi rocks where he lays on the ground, twisting into himself as tears track down his soot stained face. If only he could go back. If only he’d listened. If only he’d left that damn sword— but he didn’t. And now there’s no changing it. There’s no going back. He can never go back. There’s no leaving. No escaping. No finding Shen Jiu again.
Not in this life.
And not in the next.
Shen Jiu’s gone.
And all that’s left is his memory and the burning dust clutched like a life line within Yue Qi’s grasp.
Shen Jiu is gone.
And a part of Yue Qi has gone with him.
Yue Qi wishes he had gone with him. Another sob wracks his body and he hacks out a coughing gasp, choking on the smoke and despair clouding his senses.
He can’t. He can’t follow. He can’t go with. He can’t.
Shen Jiu only lives on in the searing memory left in Yue Qi, left in the charred remains clasped against his chest, in the anguished, torn ruins of a bond they once shared. If Yue Qi leaves too, he’ll never find him again.
The moment Meng Po’s soup hits his tongue, Shen Jiu will truly be gone. And there will be no next life.
Yue Qi shakes, a wretched, wet wheeze leaving him. He can’t leave. He won’t. If this is all that’s left of Xiao Jiu, then it’s everything Yue Qi will cleave to.
All that’s left of Xiao Jiu is to live.
To live and remember.

"haha Bepo is the weakest co captain!! He's a big baby that cries!" ya, and that's why Law has him as co captain. Law has lived such a violent life of seeing people that care for him dying and being used for others personal gain that having his most trusted man be a person that hates to hurt others, is a bleeding heart of care, that seems to really respect Law's choices and orders is perfect for Law. The others in his crew are like this, but not to the level of Bepo which we need to realise is why Law wants around him
